Birdhouses in Sacile

One thing I noticed while in Sacile were the multitude of birdcages. Restaurants had them, apartments, villas, mansions.....some were empty (such as this photo) and some had brilliantly colored canaries or parakeets. The cages were kept outside the entryways to homes...a nice cheery welcome!
