The Hermitage Museum

The Hermitage Museum has 1,001 rooms and was built in 1762, for Catherine the Great. The Russian Royal Family continued to use this as their Winter Palace, up to Nicholas II, in 1917, when the Palace was stormed during the Bolshevik Revolution.
