Hohes Schloss

This castle is in the city of Fussen was built in 1293 and is a 10 minute drive from Neuschwanstein. Fussen is a cute city but loaded with tourists. If you plan on visiting this area, I'd recommend staying in Schwangau versus Fussen. You get a better feel for the culture in the area (our hotel backed up to cows where the milk was delivered fresh to our breakfast room) and was a 3 minute drive to Neuschwanstein.
