Beehive Huts

Beehive Huts were used over 1000 years ago (and earlier) as homes for a single family. No mortar was used in their construction and no rain gets into the interior, for the stones have a downward slant allowing water to pour over and down the house, rather than inside. The woman to whom the land belongs (and the Beehive Huts are built) was in the movie 'Far and Away' with Tom Cruise. Her land is where the filming took place.
