Frauenkirche

Destroyed during the 1945 bombings, the ruins of Frauenkirche sat in a pile until 1992 when reconstruction was started. One third of the stones are original (the darker stones) and the other two-thirds of stone were donated from around the world. It cost 100 Million Euro to rebuild and was just open in 2005.
