Thanks for letting me reference your comments about Soufflenheim, France. We purchased some pottery for a wedding gift and sent your nice little description as a reference for the newly weds.

My wife took a job as a DOD teacher in 2000 and I retired from GTE (now Verizon) and we started our European adventure. Lived in IT the first 3 yrs. before moving to DE. Great experience! Have seen so much but there is so much more to see.

As I googled 'Steinwenden' again tonight as I do every so often, I stumbled across your site. It sounds like you really enjoyed living there and I'm so glad. I was born in Landstuhl and lived in Steinwenden for the first 12 years of my life. I've returned often but only once, for a wedding and class reunion, since my grandmother passed away in 1982. Not a day goes by that I don't think about my little village and the all wonderful memories I have of that time in my life. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and photos, and best wishes as you continue your journey through this adventure called life.

Ciao from Albuquerque New Mexico!

I am up very late this morning and I know it is due to the excitement of planning our 4th visit to Italy where previously we have stayed in Rome with a day trip to Florence but this time we will Sacile, Venice and perhaps Pompeii. You are living my dream of life in Italy- how awesome. I look forward to reading more of your adventures - I just discovered you as my energy is winding down and I should be going back to bed to snuggle with my unsuspecting husband who has to get up in the morning for work!

I met your mom in Orlando at a brunch a mutual friend had. When she found out I was going to Russia, she gave me your website. Your pictures were great, and reinforced what I have been researching. I wasn't planning on going to Peter and Paul Fortress, but now I just might if time permits. Always so much to do, and not enough time! Thanks for sharing, and I loved your commentaries on each picture.
