STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN
JUNE 2006
While in Stockholm, we visited the Vasa Museum, a Swedish warship that sunk 20 minutes after its maiden voyage, in 1628. You can see pictures of the Vasa under our tab 'Stockholm', from our first visit in September 2005. After the Vasa Museum, we enjoyed a typical Swedish smorgasbord at the Skansen Park. The lunch included about 20 types of herring, salmon, Swedish meatballs, shrimp and lots of delicious freshly made salads. Dessert included a warm cheesecake that was covered with fresh berries and whipped cream. Yum! After rolling out of our lunch, we headed to the waterways and enjoyed a 2 hour water tour of the city. This was definitely the highlight of our Sweden trip. The sun was out, the skies were clear and life was just perfect!
