OSLO, NORWAY
JUNE 2006
Oslo, Norway is another place that surprised me. There is quite a bit to see and do here. Unfortunately, the weather was a bit rainy, so some photography was a bit challenging, but I tried my darnedest to capture what I could. Our tour of Oslo included a visit to the Holmenkollen Ski Jump, site for the 1952 Olympics. Afterwards, we made a stop at the Viking Museum to see honest-to-goodness Viking ships from the 9th century. Finally, it was off to the Vigeland Sculpture Park, displaying the phenomenal works of sculptor Gustav Vigeland. The park features over 200 sculptures made of bronze, granite and cast iron. I've included some of my favorites...perhaps you'll enjoy them as well!
