In 1989, the Czech Republic broke free from Soviet reign and opened up this magical country for all to see....and fall in love with.  Parts of the Czech Republic are a bit poor yet full of character, other areas, such as Prague and it's Baroque/Bohemian-self, are awe-inspiring.  And in my opinion, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Plenty to see, plenty to do and for the moment, still affordable.
