LUXEMBOURG

This small little country is nestled between Germany, France and Belgium and has long been fought over for its forested land. It is 999 square miles and is just a tad smaller than Rhode Island, with 465,000 residents. It has the world's highest gross national income per capita. Just recently, it opened the Grande-Duchesse Josephine-Charlotte Concert Hall, a glorious architectural Philharmonic auditorium. Luxembourg is the European Cultural Capital of 2007, hosting plays, operas, musicals, concerts, art shows and more.
