LINDOS, GREECE
SEPTEMBER 2007
Lindos is an hours drive from Rhodes and absolutely worth the drive. This picturesque little village was the sight of an Acropolis housing a fortress and temple in dedication to Athena. The area was founded by the Apostle, St. Paul in 51 AD. Lindos consists of very narrow streets that one must navigate via walking or donkey. As the streets wind upward, the views become increasingly breathtaking. Whitewashed houses litter the countryside, the sea glistening in the sun and ruins of the ancient Acropolis make this area magical.
