Shalom!

Israel belongs to the Southwestern part of Asia and borders four countries: Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt. It offers quite a variety in terms of landscapes, with deserts, towering mountains, valleys and coastlines (lake and sea).  It also hosts many religious destinations, archaelogical sights, and museums. At it's widest part, it would take one hour to drive across, 5-6 hours to drive top to bottom.  Not large, but it is full of things to see and do.

One of our tour guides mentioned something that really struck me.  He made the comment that many people in the world hold religious beliefs, and many of those beliefs have ties to Israel: Muslim, Jewish, Christian. But yet few people chose Israel to visit.  He asked why this was..it didn't make sense to him. And I have to say, it doesn't make sense to me either, when I think about it.  Religion is important to so many...why would a place like Israel not be a priority?

Israel, whether visiting for religious reasons or not, is a stunner.  A must-see, a must-do.  The people are kind, the food is exceptional and quite healthy, the wines are great and there is sooooooooo much to do here.  A truly lovely country.  English is spoken by everyone and the US dollar is accepted in most places.
