Nazareth is located in the Lower Galilee region of Israel and has a population of approximately 66,000, 30% are Christian, 70% are Muslim. Walking through the streets of Nazareth reveals strong ties to both religions. You can see nuns and priests walking passed minarets of mosques, while the call to prayer echoes throughout the town.  It's pretty cool.

For those of Christian faith, Nazareth was the home of Joseph and Mary and the site of the Annunciation. This is when the angel Gabriel came to Mary informing her that she would have a child, Jesus.  Nazareth is also where Jesus grew up upon his return from Egypt.
